Dexter Wrestling Club

Dexter Wrestling Club (DWC) is open to students in Young 5's through 8th grade and is designed to help wrestlers grow in the sport, whether they are just getting started or have years of experience.

You may register for Sessions 2 and 3 now to reserve your wrestler's spot, but you will NOT be charged for those sessions at the time of registration.

• Session 1: November–December — Fee charged at registration
• Session 2: January–February — Register now; fee automatically charged December 1
• Session 3: March — Register now; fee automatically charged February 1

When registering for Sessions 2 or 3, you will see the session fee and the future charge date before completing registration. Your payment method on file will automatically be charged on that date.

Please keep your payment method current. Registering now commits your wrestler to the session even though payment will not be collected until the scheduled charge date.

Choose Your Registration Group

Beginner Wrestling (Gold and Maroon Groups)
Designed for new wrestlers and those continuing to build their fundamental skills.

• The Gold Group (Y5 to 4th) is typically the entry point for our youngest wrestlers. The primary focus is on introducing the sport through body mechanics, tumbling, stance, takedowns, and top/bottom positioning.
• The Maroon Group (3rd to 6th) is intended for wrestlers who have mastered the basics and are ready to continue developing their technique through more advanced instruction and live situational drilling. Older wrestlers with limited or no experience are welcome.
• Practices: Mondays & Wednesdays
• Times: Gold, 6pm-7pm; Maroon, 7:15pm-8:15pm
• Participation in competitive tournaments is optional for both groups, but encouraged for Maroon wrestlers.
• After registration, wrestlers will be placed into either the Gold or Maroon Groups based on their age, size, and experience to create the safest and most appropriate training environment.

Advanced Wrestling (Black Group)
Designed for experienced wrestlers (typically with two or more seasons of experience) who have committed to wrestling as a primary sport and are looking for a competitive training environment.

• Practices: Tuesdays & Thursdays
• Times: 6pm - 8pm
• Training focuses on advanced technique, conditioning, strategy, and preparing for competition.
• Participation in competitive tournaments is expected.
• The Advanced Group will show as FULL during registration. This is intentional. All wrestlers interested in the Advanced Group must join the waitlist so DWC coaches can review each wrestler's age, size, and experience and confirm that the Advanced Group is the appropriate placement.
• Note: 7th and 8th grade wrestlers are only eligible for the Advanced Group and will receive priority registration.

Multi-Session Discount

Register for multiple Dexter Wrestling Club sessions at the same time and save!

• Register for 2 sessions: Save $25
• Register for 3 sessions: Save $50

To receive the multi-session discount, all sessions must be selected at the time of initial registration. Sessions added later are not eligible for the discount.

The discount will not appear immediately at registration. After registration, staff will verify that the wrestler is registered for the required number of sessions and manually apply the discount to the future session fee(s) before they are charged.

If the registration does not meet the multi-session discount requirements, no discount will be applied and the full session fee will be charged on the scheduled charge date.

What to Bring

• Headgear is recommended but not required
• Wrestling shoes (some shoes are available to borrow from the club)
• Gym shorts and a t-shirt
