DCE Youth House Basketball

A fun, developmental basketball program for boys and girls in grades 1–6!

Registration closes Sunday, December 13. Register by December 1 to receive a $15 discount. Discount automatically applied at checkout.

Key Dates

• Skills Day: Sunday, December 13. See locations and times below.
• Team Draft: Mid-December. Coaches will contact families by December 20.
• Practices Begin: Week of January 4.
• Games Begin: Saturday, January 9.
• Tentative Final Game: Saturday, February 27.
• No Games: Saturday, February 13.

Practices and Games

Practices are held once per week, Monday–Thursday, starting after 6:00 p.m. Practice days and times depend on each coach’s availability and will be shared after the draft.

Games are held on Saturdays, with six games planned for each team. Recent seasons have generally followed these time ranges:

• Grades 5–6: 8:00–10:00 a.m.
• Grades 3–4: 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
• Grades 1–2: 1:00–3:00 p.m.

Exact game times may vary based on registration. The game schedule will be shared after teams are formed.

Grades 1–2 play 4-on-4 with 9.5-foot hoops. All grades use 28.5-inch basketballs.

Parent coaches help make this program possible! If you’re interested in coaching, please indicate this during registration.

Jerseys

DCE House Basketball uses reusable, reversible jerseys. If your child has one from a previous season that still fits—or one handed down from an older sibling—there’s no need to purchase another!

If your child needs a jersey, select “Registration Fee + Jersey” during registration. New jerseys will be available for pickup at your game site before your child’s first game.

Skills Day — Sunday, December 13

Boys: Dexter High School Gym

• Grades 1–2: 8:30–9:45 a.m.
• Grades 3–4: 10:00–11:15 a.m.
• Grades 5–6: 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.

Girls: Mill Creek Gym

• Grades 1–2: 8:30–9:45 a.m.
• Grades 3–4: 10:00–11:15 a.m.
• Grades 5–6: 11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.

Can’t attend Skills Day? That’s OK—your child will still be placed on a team. There is no makeup date.
