Michigan Thunder Soccer Academy - FallYouth Recreation and SportsProfessional coaching coordinated by Michigan Thunder FC Director of Academy, Sean Myint Little Bolts ages 3-5. Our Little Bolts program aims to develop soccer specific skills such as basic motor skills, balance, coordination, foot-eye coordination, and ball skills. Little Bolts build strong fundamental foundations for physical skills, teamwork and inspires confidence at a young age in a successful atmosphere where learning is fun. It also gives the players the opportunity to play soccer, learn new skills and have an enjoyable sporting experience all while making new friends. A professional coaching staff will deliver this high-energy experience. Our goal is to provide a perfect introduction to the game of soccer while focusing on independence and enhancing your child’s overall growth and well being. You will see happy, confident children who are eager to learn and come back for more. Five year olds have the option of registering for Little Bolts or Strikers. If you're unsure as to which program is best for your participant, we suggest you register for Little Bolts and talk with the coaches at the conclusion of the first practice. Strikers ages 5 -10. Our Thunder Strikers program is designed to support and guide emerging young soccer players and parents into a formalized, structured and developmental soccer environment. The goal is to provide technical training for ALL players who have a strong desire to develop their technical skill level, increase their knowledge and foster a love for the game of soccer. The training will focus on developing technical skills including first touch, dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and attacking moves. The Thunder Strikers program places a strong emphasis on teamwork, sportsmanship and the skills that are vital components of competitive soccer and transferable skills to life. Choose from weeknight training sessions with in-house games on Saturdays between 10am and noon (Clarification: as of right now, the official start time is 10AM, and end time is 11AM. In the event that there is a need to extend to Noon, Coach Sean and our office will communicate with you as soon as we make that decision. For right now, plan for players to be there from 10AM-11AM) Important note regarding the playground: The playground behind Bates is completely off limits to soccer families as it is reserved by Dexter's Childcare program. Please keep both players and their siblings away from the playground so that childcare staff do not confuse their students with yours in the event of emergency. What to Bring: Wear shin guards, sneakers or soccer shoes (during outdoor season), bring a water bottle and a size 3 or 4 soccer ball to all sessions. Soccer Shirts: You have the option of purchasing a Michigan Thunder FC t-shirt. MI Thunder partners with DCE to coordinate our youth soccer program. Youth soccer participants are often invited to support the DHS soccer programs on Senior Night or on other special occasions. Wearing the MI Thunder soccer shirt gets the student into the game at no charge. Please order a shirt separately below in the section titled 7002-F26 Soccer Shirt. The Deadline to register for a shirt is Monday, August 31 at 8:00 AM. Soccer shirt registration will close at this time. Check the box next to your phone number in your Arux profile so you may receive text messages. Most Common Questions Is my child ready to transition from Little Bolts to Strikers? The primary difference between Little Bolts and Strikers is attention span. Strikers sessions run a full hour and involve more structured drills, skill development, and small-sided game play. Families are encouraged to consider whether their child is ready to stay engaged and focused for the entire session. Is my child too old or too young for the program? Readiness depends on a combination of age, experience, and developmental stage rather than age alone. Placement decisions are based on the child’s ability to participate successfully in the activities and expectations of the program. If you are uncertain which program is the best fit, please reach out to Coach Sean at seanmyint@gmail.com.Fall 2026 -

Mill Creek Community Service and Leadership Program 26-27Mill Creek Middle SchoolNewHello Mill Creek Families! Each year, Mill Creek's Community Service & Leadership (CS&L) program creates meaningful opportunities for students to connect, participate, serve, and develop a strong sense of belonging within our school community. One of the first events supported by CS&L is our annual Back to School Bash. The Bash welcomes our 7th and 8th grade students back to Mill Creek with inflatables, games, open gym, music, and other activities. It is just one of many experiences that CS&L helps provide throughout the school year. Unlike many schools, Mill Creek does not have a PTO or conduct ongoing product-sale fundraisers. Once each year, we ask our families and community to consider supporting Mill Creek Middle School. This support helps make many of the activities, events, and experiences our students enjoy possible. Funds from the Mill Creek Community Service & Leadership Programming Fund may be used to support, but not limited to: The annual Back to School Bash School-wide activities and special events Assemblies and guest speakers Clubs and student leadership opportunities Classroom and team activities Student and staff appreciation Community service projects Field trips and other special programming Supplies, materials, and participation assistance for students CS&L provides many of the experiences that help students feel connected and engaged at Mill Creek. Because we do not have ongoing fundraising efforts throughout the year, contributions to this fund play an important role in helping us continue offering these opportunities for our students. Donations are entirely voluntary, and every contribution, regardless of the amount, makes a difference. If you would like to make a contribution, the following giving amounts are available through Arux (formerly Eleyo): $25: Helps provide activity materials, supplies, and resources for student programming. $40: Supports approximately one student's share of Community Service & Leadership programming throughout the year. $80: Helps support programming for approximately two students. $150: Helps fund larger school-wide events, leadership opportunities, service projects, and special programming. $250: Provides additional support that helps expand opportunities for students throughout the school year. Every contribution helps us continue providing meaningful experiences for all Mill Creek students and strengthens our school community. For contributions larger than the amounts available through Arux, checks may be made payable to Mill Creek Middle School. Please write CS&L Fund on the memo line or mark the envelope Attention: CS&L Fund. Cash contributions may also be delivered to the school. Please note that donations to the CS&L Programming Fund do not cover separately funded trips and activities such as Seventh Grade Camp, the Washington, D.C. trip, Cedar Point, or other events requiring individual registration fees. Thank you for considering a contribution to the Mill Creek Community Service & Leadership Programming Fund. Your support helps provide engaging experiences that allow students to connect, participate, serve, and grow as members of our school community. We appreciate your support!2026-2027

Mill Creek Middle School Athletics Pay-to-Participate FeePay-to-Participate FeesSPORTS REGISTRATION IMPORTANT INFORMATION Two-Part Registration Process: Step 1: Arux Registration and Payment Method. Register for your student-athlete’s sport via Arux (where you are now) and provide a payment method before the first practice. Your initial registration will show a zero balance due. The participation fee for your student-athlete will be charged to your provided payment method approximately two to three weeks into the season. For sports with tryouts, the coach will notify the athletic department of any student-athletes who did not make the team. Their registrations will be removed and they will not be charged. Step 2: Complete Registration on FinalForms. This is where you'll upload your student-athlete's physical and complete annual forms. Registration on FinalForms must be completed before tryouts or any athletic activity. MHSAA Physical Requirement: All participants must have a current MHSAA physical on file in FinalForms, dated after April 15, 2026. Registration Issues: If you don't see an option to register, it might be because your account shows that your student does not attend Dexter Schools (based on your address). To correct this, please email communityed@dexterschools.org with your student's name, and we will update your account so you can complete registration. Financial Assistance: DCS is happy to work with families for whom the cost of sport participation is a hardship. Please reach out to the athletic office at any point during the school year for assistance. Athletes who have not paid their participation fees, made arrangements to pay their fees, or been approved for a scholarship may not be permitted to participate in practices or competitions until those obligations are met. Scholarships need to be applied for before the season starts. Click here to complete the scholarship application form. Family Maximum of $1,000: After all pay-to-participate fees are paid for the middle school and high school student-athletes in your family, you may request to be reimbursed for the amount over $1,000. Self-funded sport fees, Community Ed sport registrations, and purchases such as team gear do not count towards the $1,000. Contact the Athletic Department at athletics@dexterschools.org to request a family max reimbursement (these payments are made via check from the district's business office). The deadline to request this reimbursement is May 31 each school year. Requests made after that date will not be granted.Fall 2026 -
