Starting SoonDexter Dreads Travel BaseballYouth Recreation and SportsThe Dexter Dreads program aims to serve as a stepping stone between Little League and higher-level travel teams, offering a unique "travel lite" experience. Our primary objective is to keep our boys together while encouraging those who desire a more dedicated commitment and developmental experience beyond a traditional house league, such as Little League. However, we understand the importance of balancing these aspirations with the practicalities of time and financial constraints associated with higher-level programs. Thus, our program is designed to minimize extensive travel and expenses typically associated with traditional higher-level teams. 2027 Tryouts: 11U, 12U & 13U - Monday, July 27 6:30pm-8pm at Creekside Quad Field #4 9U & 10U - Tuesday, July 28 6:30pm-8pm at Creekside Quad Field #4 If you cannot make the tryout date please email the coach directly for a semi-private tryout on Wednesday, July 29 13u: Trevor Brewster - trevor.brewster@gmail.com 12u: Bill Logan - loganboy427@gmail.com 11u: Kevin Cislo - kevin.cislo@gmail.com 10u: Steve Singer - stevensinger5865@gmail.com 9u: Chuck Hopkins (chuckhopkins@hotmail.com) & Steven Pontoni (svpontoni@gmail.com) Please refer to the USSSA Age Calculator to find your player's division for 2027. 9U: Players born on or after May 1, 2017. 10U: Players born on or after May 1, 2016. 11U: Players born on or after May 1, 2015. 12U: Players born on or after May 1, 2014. 13U: Players born on or after May 1, 2013. Register for your student-athlete’s sport via Arux (where you are now) and provide a payment method before the first practice. Your initial registration will show a zero balance due. The participation fee for your student-athlete will be charged to your provided payment method approximately two to three weeks into the season. For sports with tryouts, the coach will notify the athletic department of any student-athletes who did not make the team. Their registrations will be removed and they will not be charged. Step 2: Complete Registration on FinalForms. This is where you'll upload your student-athlete's physical and complete annual forms. Registration on FinalForms must be completed before tryouts or any athletic activity. MHSAA Physical Requirement: All participants must have a current MHSAA physical on file in FinalForms, dated after April 15, 2026. Registration Issues: If you don't see an option to register, it might be because your account shows that your student does not attend Dexter Schools (based on your address). To correct this, please email communityed@dexterschools.org with your student's name, and we will update your account so you can complete registration. Financial Assistance: DCS is happy to work with families for whom the cost of sport participation is a hardship. Please reach out to the athletic office at any point during the school year for assistance. Athletes who have not paid their participation fees, made arrangements to pay their fees, or been approved for a scholarship may not be permitted to participate in practices or competitions until those obligations are met. Scholarships need to be applied for before the season starts. Click here to complete the scholarship application form. Family Maximum of $1,000: After all pay-to-participate fees are paid for the middle school and high school student-athletes in your family, you may request to be reimbursed for the amount over $1,000. Self-funded sport fees, Community Ed sport registrations, and purchases such as team gear do not count towards the $1,000. Contact the Athletic Department at athletics@dexterschools.org to request a family max reimbursement (these payments are made via check from the district's business office). The deadline to request this reimbursement is May 31 each school year. Requests made after that date will not be granted.Fall 2026 -
