End your school week with acting, games, and creativity that will culminate in a final performance for family and friends. Whether you've never set foot onstage, or have been in the spotlight all your life, this class is for you! Work together to learn about character development, theatrical movement techniques, and confidence building through acting, movement, and teamwork! Please bring a 3-ring binder and a pencil to class. Twirler for a Day!Youth Recreation and SportsDHS Marching Band's clinic: Twirler for a Day! Come experience the excitement of Friday Night Lights as a DHS Marching Band Feature Twirler for a Day! No baton twirling experience needed! Join DHS Feature Twirlers Kyla Brewer and Emily Inniger as they teach fun baton tricks and a simple routine. Then take the field and perform at halftime during the September 18 DHS home game! Participants will enjoy: Four fun practices Game day experience, including rehearsal and a Twirlgate (Think: Tailgate, Twirler's Version) Marching to Al Ritt Stadium with the band Performing during halftime You may purchase your own baton (details will be provided after registration) or borrow one from us. All proceeds will benefit the Dexter High School Marching Band. Come learn, perform, and shine under the Friday night lights! Important: Registration includes a clinic T-Shirt. T-shirts will be ordered at 8:00am on Tuesday, September 1st. Any registrations after that time will not receive a shirt. Please read: Practice schedule varies. Youth Field HockeyYouth Recreation and SportsDiscover the exciting world of field hockey with Dexter Community Education's comprehensive programs designed for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6. Our courses focus on fundamental skills such as dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and team concepts. Parents are responsible for providing a stick, shin guards and mouthguard for practices and games. Sticks and shin guards can be provided for new players on a short-term basis. Please be aware: dates are subject to change, especially for teams participating in the A2 Rec & Ed League The 1st-2nd grade program offers one weekday practice. The 3rd-4th grade program offers one weekday practice AND WEEKEND league game in Ann Arbor (Saturday or Sunday - TBD by A2 Rec & Ed).
